"Salvation is of God" Jesus said, "No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day." John 6:44
1. Acknowledge Your Need to be Saved "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:" Romans 3:10. "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" Romans 3:23. "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" Romans 5:12. "For the wages of sin is death;" Romans 6:23a.
2. Repent: (Turn to God) "...The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel." Mark 1:15. "For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death." II Corinthians 7:10. Jesus said: "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28.
3. God has provided salvation through His Son Jesus said: "... I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6b. Believe on Jesus Christ; He is the Son of God, the Saviour of the world. "This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners;" I Timothy 1:15a. "Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me." Matthew 16:24. Also, ref., I Corinthians 15:1-4.
4. Believe God's Word "He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life." I John 5:10-12.
5. The new birth is the gift of God Jesus said; "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." John 3:3b. "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:" John 1:12. "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Ephesians 2:8. "Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again." John 3:7.
6. Today, while he may be found; receive Christ by faith Tomorrow may be too late. Humble yourself in prayer before a Holy God, and in reverence, acknowledge your sinfulness, and believing in your heart that Jesus Christ is the risen Son of God, and call upon His name: "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13. Just saying words in a prayer is not going to save you, but by an act of faith, looking toward the Son of God, who died for you and rose again, and calling upon his name; Jesus wants to save you now. Would you call upon Jesus right now to save you by receiving Him into your life? Dear God, I admit that I am a sinner. Lord Jesus I Accept you by faith, according to your word, that you died for me, and rose again. Lord Jesus save me, come into my life; I believe that YOU are the Son of God, and now my Saviour. In Jesus Name. Amen.
7. If you have sincerely trusted Christ as your Saviour Obey his commands, and follow, Him in believers baptism. Ref. Matthew 28:18-20, Acts 2:37-41, and Colossians 2:12. Begin reading the Bible daily, starting in the Gospel of John. Use the Authorized King James 1611 version as your standard, and praying before you read that God would open your understanding of the scriptures to you. Read I John 5:11-13, and II Timothy 2:15, Titus 3:5-6, and John 10: 17-28. Write down the date that you accepted Christ; Resist the devil with the Word of God. Ref. I Peter 4:6-10, Matthew 4:1-11. Continue in the Faith, and join with other believers this Sunday at church. Ref. Hebrews 10:25. Please read Hebrews chapter 12 now.
